Every year South Tyneside welcomes thousands of visitors to it's popular events, including the Summer Festival featuring free family fun entertainment during the summer, the International Guitar Festival in July, the International Magic Festival in February and of course the Great North Run in Autumn.  There are so many different events to choose from all year round within South Tyneside that I'm sure you will find something in the listings below that will keep you entertained for many hours to come!
