with the famous annual GREAT NORTH RUN. The seaside
finish at South Shields is the destination for more
than 45,000 runners in the worlds biggest half marathon.

the world's great runners competing for a place
on the winners rostrum, to the thousands of people who
raise millions of pounds for charity every year, the
BUPA Great North Run is established as Britain's
biggest running event.
