The Leas - marks the beginning of the National
Trust's two-mile stretch of coastline reaching to Lizard
Point and taking in Souter Lighthouse. This area of special
scientific interest is ideal for cycling and walking,
with dedicated cycle and walk ways along the coast road
going from the seafront at South Shields to Marsden
and Whitburn.
