Littlehaven Beach is a must-see on any visit to the area. It's steeped in history including used as a World War I RAF airbase. On a nice day if you're lucky you can still see the faint traces of the old landing strip near the Groyne. The airbase catered for sea planes, land planes and airships which kept a watchful eye on our coastal defences and reporting enemy movements.
The award-winning Littlehaven Promenade, recently revamped, not only boasts fantastic coastal views but features a number of original artwork and state-of-the-art decorative lighting.
Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the 500m wide open space overlooking stunning sea views. Take a sandy seat and watch the different ships and boats travel in and out of the harbour. There are a number of local hotels, cafes, pubs and restaurants if you fancy some refreshment.
Due to the shelter of the pier this beach is perfect for the more adventurous explorer as its home to many different water sports including kayaking, canoeing, and boating.
Across the road from Littlehaven is Haven Point, our state of the art leisure splash pool centre which boasts a 25m pool, 18m learning pool, slides, leisure waters, bubble sprays, cafe, Visitor Information Centre and so much more.
