Public Transport
Use the Tyne & Wear Metro and get off at South Shields Metro station right in the heart of the centre.
A busy bus station operates services in and out of the region to the town centre.
To travel between North Shields and South Shields hop on the Shields Ferry and disembark just a minute walk from the Market Place.

Road
If travelling by car South Tyneside is served by excellent trunk roads. The A194 links to the A1(M) motorway providing easy access from the South and the A19 via the Tyne Tunnel provides a convenient route from the A1 North.
